Privacy Policy
PLAYHER ("we", "our", "us") provides a women’s sports app that surfaces live scores, leagues, clubs, and players. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Preferences you set in the app. Sports, national teams, leagues, and clubs you follow; whether onboarding is complete; whether notifications are enabled. Stored locally on your device.
- Account credentials when you sign in (email and encrypted password). We do not see or store plaintext passwords.
- Diagnostic logs if you contact support and share them with us.
- Your email address if you enter it on our website to be notified when PLAYHER launches. That’s the only thing we store — no name, no other details — and you don’t need an account to do it.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we use it
- To remember the leagues, clubs, and players you follow so the Matches and Explore screens are useful to you.
- To send the notifications you’ve opted into.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To diagnose and fix bugs.
- To email you once, when PLAYHER launches, if you asked to be notified. We don’t use that address for anything else, and we don’t share or sell it.
Where it’s stored
Most of what the app needs is stored on your device using local app storage. Account credentials, when you have an account, are stored on our servers and encrypted in transit. Launch-list email addresses are stored in our database, encrypted in transit, and are not readable by anyone outside PLAYHER.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers we use to operate the app (e.g. authentication, analytics, error tracking). We never sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your choices
- Notifications — toggle them off any time at Profile → Settings → Notifications.
- Reset preferences — log out clears every preference on your device.
- Delete your account — email support@playher.co and we’ll remove your account and stored preferences within 30 days.
- Come off the launch list — email legal@playher.co and we’ll delete your address. Every launch email we send will also carry an unsubscribe link.
Children
PLAYHER is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We’ll update the date above when this policy changes. Substantive changes will be announced in-app.
